Challenge
Elmo has targeted an EU-wide rollout of its tele-piloted car sharing and driving services. To enable efficient operations, fully automated charging systems are needed to keep charging interruptions, extra workforce, and extra driving (to and from HQ with a charger on site) to a minimum. As long as cable-based, hand-held charge systems are used, the need for all the above is still prohibitive to realizing lean operations.
Solution
Working with Elonroad has been transformative, and Elmo is convinced that their technology is a cornerstone for the sustainable transportation of the future. Elonroad´s stationary charging system will provide teleoperated vehicles with an automated charge facility without human interaction. The system comes full circle with fully automated charging solutions, so fully automated remote operations can be offered.
Outcome
With Elonroad, Elmo can charge their vehicles in specified places, cutting out extensive return routes to and from their HQ and significantly lowering downtime.
